Tips
When you Can't Air Out your Quilt
Quilts often spend time being stored in less-than-desirable places, and will pick up odors from their environment. What's a quilter to do? Periodically airing your quilts outdoors is ideal, but not always possible depending upon where you live. Might we suggest a run to your neighborhood grocery for some Dial Gold soap? Cut the bar of soap in half or thirds. Wrap the pieces in paper towel and secure with a rubber band. Place soap and the "offending" quilt in a covered box or secured large bag for several days. The soap will absorb the odors, making your quilt smell fresh and squeaky clean.

Small Design Space
A pull-down window shade makes a great design wall, when wall space doesn't exist. If necessary, cut the shade to fit the width of the door. Extend the shade to it's full length, cover with flannel using spray adhesive. Attach the shade to the door with the hardware included.
Washing Small Amount of Fabric
To wash small pieces, use a small clear "plumbers friend" as a plunger to agitate your fabric in the sink.
Chocolate to the Rescue
Put a small magnet inside a saved Altoid box. A small magnet inside the box will keep your needles safe. If you buy dark chocolate Altoids, you'll empty the box quickly
